In effort to compete at the 19th Annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC 2011), the City College team (formed by Carlos Jaramillo, Sebastian Pendola, Carlos Chinchilla, and Achyut Shrestha) was able to qualify (only 17 out of 57 teams qualified). Unfortunately, CATA did not win, and it's clear that something went wrong by attempting to fuse GPS information with local odometry.
The CCNY Robotics Club is an undergraduate engineering club located in room 538 of Steinman hall. Since 2005 our doors have been open to anyone interested in the field of robotics. We introduce students to the designing, manufacturing, electrical, and programming aspects of robots. The club provides students with the necessary tools and materials, as well as the knowledge and support needed to build robots. During club meetings, we offer tutorials and we work on ongoing projects; additionally, we organize events each semester.
